They are often very affordable without lacking in any quality whatsoever. Every single component complies with official standards and can easily be replaced.  Another advantage is that no special expertise is necessary when it comes to compiling and mounting the skateboard. Complete boards are obtainable in different sizes and with different shapes, depending on the kid's physique. There are corners that can be cut when trying to get a cheap beginner skateboard and there are corners that shouldn't be cut. Please don't buy a 20€ complete board from the nearest superstore.
